Messaging Analysis

Alongside writing copy, I spend time studying how messaging works inside real campaigns.That usually means looking closely at ads, landing pages, and product positioning to understand why certain messages resonate while others fade out.The goal is not to critique creative style. It is to understand the tension the message is built around and how clearly the copy expresses it.Questions I often look at include:

  • What problem does the ad assume the customer already feels?

  • What belief needs to shift before the product makes sense?

  • What objection is the copy trying to remove?

  • How does the headline frame the product differently from competitors?

  • What promise is the creative actually testing?

I keep a running set of notes and breakdowns as I study campaigns and messaging patterns.

Work with DTC brands on messaging development and paid social copy used in structured creative testing.The process usually begins with a basic question. What problem does the buyer actually feel when they encounter the product? From there I outline several messaging angles and write hook sets designed for testing.Typical work includes:
